LENT LUNCHES

Lent lunches will be held each Saturday 12 noon - 1.15 p.m. at the back of St. Cuthbert's Church up to 24th March 2018.

All proceeds to the Bishop’s Lent Appeal.

BISHOP'S LENT APPEAL

The main charity we are supporting this year is Christian Aid, a partnership of people, churches and local organisations committed to ending poverty worldwide. As part of this, they work directly with refugees, through local partnerships and through linked organisations.

Ways to support the Lent Appeal

Please give generously

Your donation will make a real difference to the work of Christian Aid and to local charities and groups working to support and empower refugees.

Pray

• For the safety and flourishing of displaced persons

• For charities and groups offering support

• For peace and an end to oppression

Nominate a charity

If you know of a local charity or group working to support refugees and would like to nominate them for a grant this year, please contact: rachel.houlberg@portsmouth.anglican.org

See also www.portsmouth.anglican.org/lentappeal2018

Leaflets and donation envelopes are now available at both churches.

THE FUNERAL OF MARGARET MOORCRAFT

Will be held at 1pm on Friday 2nd March at The Oaks Crematorium, Havant.

ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING

The APCM will be held in St. Cuthbert's Church on Sunday 4th March at 11.30am.

During this meeting we will receive the annual report for the previous year and will also elect churchwardens and PCC members for the coming year. All are welcome to attend and everyone registered on the Voters Roll is eligible to vote.

New PCC Nomination forms are now available at both churches and we need to elect two churchwardens and twelve P.C.C. Members, at least two of whom from at St. Aidan’s.

THANK YOU

Thank you everyone for making my licensing such a special occasion. It's wonderful to be back with you!

Blessings Jane.

'MAKE A MOTHER'S DAY'

Mothers' Union invite you to give a gift that help mothers bloom, in thanksgiving for our own mothers.

There are several projects running which help African women to gain, among others, literacy skills, parenting skills and how to learn a livelihood, all of which help their families and their communities.

Please pick up one of the leaflets at the back of the church. Thank you very much.
